Ashfield Cathal Crobdhearg RC-IRE 991 was standing at stud in Finland for 2008 breeding season. This gentleman stallion returned home to Halle Stud in Sweden on the last week of August.

Ash is born in 1992. His breeder is Mr James Jones who was known for his dedication to the superb old bloodlines. Ash combines both Mac Dara and Carna Bobby and his dam represents the famous Sparrow family known especially for its jumping ability. Stallions Ashfield Bobby Sparrow (European Pony Show Jumping Champion), Ashfield Sparrow and Ashfield Dancing Sparrow (France) are the dam's full brothers. Ash's full brother Ashfield Mactalla is a breeding stallion in UK.

Ashfield Cathal Crobdhearg has won his class at Clifden Show as a 3-years old and was 5th as a four years old. He was very successful at the 12 week CPBS Performance Test in 1996 when he was placed second.

Ash has been inspected also in Sweden where he got the following points: 9 for type, 9 for head - neck - body, 8 for limbs, 8 for walk and 7 for trot.
Ash has been jumping with good results in 110 cm classes as a six year old.

Ash has been born as dun and typically for ponies from Sparrow family he became grey late, after 10 years of age. His height is 148 cms and cannon 20 cms.

Ash has a stallion son Amadeus S1112 who is competing successfully in UK and approximately 30 offspring in Ireland. In Sweden he has several diploma daughters and winning stock at the breed show.
